Privacy policy

How we handle information from this website.

Short version: we use what you send us to respond to you, we don't sell it, and we don't run advertising trackers.

Effective [NEEDS INPUT: effective date, e.g. September 2026]. This policy covers the fgacpa.com website only. Information you share with us as a client is governed by our engagement letter and by the confidentiality rules that apply to CPAs.

What we collect

If you use the consultation form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the topics you check, and your message. We also receive the technical information any web server receives when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider uses to deliver the site and prevent abuse.

We ask you not to send Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other sensitive financial details through the website. If we work together, we'll give you a secure client portal for that.

How we use it

To respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to set up our work together. That's it. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who handles it on our behalf

This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes visitor traffic and, through its Turnstile service, checks that form submissions come from people rather than automated bots. Messages sent through the form are delivered to us by an email delivery service. These providers process the information only to provide their services to us.

How we protect your information

Like nearly every firm today, we run on specialized software for tax preparation, research, bookkeeping, payroll, document storage, and our client portal. We choose providers that are established in the accounting profession and that maintain independently audited security controls, including encryption of your data both in transit and at rest.

Some of these tools include AI features, and we use them the way we'd use any good tool: to work faster and more accurately on things like communications, organizing documents, managing information, and tax research. We access them through business accounts that keep your information private to our firm, and your data is never used to train public AI models. AI handles the mechanical work. The judgment, the thinking, and the responsibility for your work stay with our professionals.

Cookies and analytics

This site doesn't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Cloudflare's Turnstile may set a cookie strictly to complete its bot check on the contact page.

Links to other sites

The client portal is operated for us by our practice-management provider and is covered by its own terms. Links to Google Maps and other outside services take you to sites we don't control.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry messages as long as they're useful for responding to you. If you become a client, your information becomes part of your client file. You can ask us to delete an inquiry at any time.

Your choices and questions

If you'd like to know what we have from your website inquiry, correct it, or have it deleted, contact us at (818) 889‑4740 or write to us at 2801 Townsgate Road, Suite 101, Westlake Village, CA 91361.
